Conducting a fire risk assessment is essential for compliance to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022. The law states that virtually all types of premises, (excluding private domestic homes), must have a “Suitable and Sufficient” Fire Risk Assessment. It is the responsibility of everyone and anyone with a degree of control over the premises to ensure this is carried out. Completing a fire risk assessment is fundamental to making sure your premises safe from fire and is an organised and methodical approach to ensuring that your premises and the activities carried out do not increase the likelihood that a fire could start and cause harm to those in and around the premises.
